I feel almost silly posting this recipe.
It’s SO easy to make avocado toast. But with a combination of some ah-mazing items, I think this is the most delicious avocado toast ever. And I have to share it.
First, to make this recipe gluten free, the toast I use is Food for Life rice bread. DO NOT eat this bread raw. It’s not great. Toasted? F YES. It’s also one of the only breads that I’ve found that is vegan and doesn’t contain added sugars. WIN.
Step 1: Toast your bread at 350 degrees for 20 minutes
Step 2: Spread Earth Balance soy free spread on your hot toast. I use this in place of butter and it is SO good.
Step 3. Slice half of an avocado, and spread slices in your toast.
Step 4: Sprinkle pink himalayan sea salt and black pepper on top. Do I sound like a pretentious prick or what? But really, pink salt IS better.
Step 5: Drizzle olive oil marinated with chili flakes over the toast. I use garlic olive oil from Oliver’s in Napa (you must go if you’re in the area). It has actual chopped garlic in the bottle. I added some chili flakes and it takes it to a whole other level.
And that’s it! You’ve got yourself the best breakfast, snack, lunch or dinner. One piece is about 200 calories.
