One of my favorite reasons that monochromatic looks are my go-to is because the look is easy to achieve cost effectively. I love how a good monochromatic outfit can be just as striking as a bold, beautiful pattern too.
I have talked about monochromatic dressing here before. My #1 tip for putting together a chic monochromatic outfit is to pair different materials/textures together. I am the queen of details and not wanting to look boring but still chic, so when I decided to wear this drop-waist ruffle dress, I wanted a little extra oomph. Adding the longline vest really adds polish to the outfit – I love how it turned out! With any monochromatic outfit, I like to add a print or metallics just for an added pop, and the leopard pumps certainly did just that!
Side note on the shoes: I LOVE these Steve Madden shoes, but they are not vegan. If you’ve been following me for awhile, you know that I am now almost-vegan (I eat fish). I no longer purchase products made from animals, including shoes. That said, I will be keeping my leather items for now. For my vegan ladies, I linked a beautiful pair of leopard pumps above!
What do you think of monochromatic dressing?
I hate bright colors so this look is perfect for me!! Haha!
