Hi! Happy Tuesday! I am on a video roll, and am trying to constantly improve my video game. It’s honestly still a little awkward to talk to a camera, but it gets easier each time. I have been wearing the Kim K “tuck back” hair style a lot lately an wanted to share my method of achieving the look with you.

Happy Tuesday!

In my last video, I mentioned that I would be posting a new video every week. I filmed two videos for the following two weeks, and they were big fails, only because I didn’t realize that my hair was distractingly BAD. YouTube is a whole different beast than blogging, and I am still getting my bearings on it. Please let me know if there are any videos that you would like to see from me!

I am so excited to share this one with you because this makeup trick is something that I do every single day that I apply makeup. It makes a HUGE difference and it takes very little time to do.

Who doesn’t want an instant nose job?

Hope you enjoy!

FALSIES. They do WONDERS for your eyes! Before I go in to how to apply them – let’s talk about eyelash extensions. Yes, they’re gorgeous and effortless, however I found it to be hard to keep them super black throughout the time before I would go to get them filled in. They’re also super pricey, and the time commitment to lay there to have them applied is a lot.

I love to wear false eyelashes because I can choose what ‘style’ I want for whatever the oeccasion is. 99% of the time I buy drugstore lashes, specifically Wispies. They are just dramatic enough and just natural looking enough to be worn day or night. No drag queen look with Wispies! 😉 Nothing wrong with that, but for those who want a glam yet natural look, try Wispies. I buy Ardell and Eylure. They are identical. What I love about the Wispies is that the band is so thin, which makes it very easy to apply the lashes. What takes the cake for this style? The fact that they give me a bombshell, cat eye look without having to pound on the liner and eyeshadow. Recently, I’ve been all about a VERY minimal eye look. Just glam lashes and that’s about it.

We’ve all seen the bad lash application jobs, whether the lashes are too long for someone’s eyes, or they’re hanging off in one area, or the glue is very visible. Yikes! Here’s how I’ve mastered applying falsies with a natural appearance:

WHAT YOU NEED:

+ Lashes

+ Scissors

+ Lash Glue

+ Tweezers

STEP 1:

Remove the lashes from the packaging and apply each lash strip to the base of your lashes. If they’re too long (which they most likely are), trim off the excess so that they fit your eye perfectly. Always trim from the inner corner.

STEP 3:

Apply your mascara(s) first. Wait 5 minutes to apply your lashes after putting your mascara on. Apply a very thin line of glue to the strip of the lashes. Wait one minute for it to get tacky. Many say 30 seconds, but I find that the glue is still a bit watery after just 30 seconds. Then, drop the lashes carefully on top of your real lashes, as close to the base of your lashes as possible.

STEP 4:

Grab your tweezers, and very carefully bond your falsies to your real lashes by gently pressing near the base of the lashes with the tweezers. And you’re done!

EVERYTHING YOU NEED:

Do you wear falsies? If so, what is your favorite lash brand & style?

I’ve written about glowy skincare essentials, but now let’s talk makeup! When I find the best of the best makeup products, I have to share. If you have dry skin (or even if you don’t) and want to look glowy without looking oily, THESE are your products.

BEST GLOWY MAKEUP PRODUCTS:

NYX HYDRA TOUCH PRIMER

This primer is amazing for any skin type. It is hydrating, but it is in no way oily. I love that it gives my skin an extra boost of moisture right before I apply my makeup. I’m not usually a primer gal, but this stuff is just really, really good. And it’s not expensive at $14. The primer also allows your foundation to go on seamlessly. I have gotten so many compliments on my skin lately, and I attribute part of that to this stuff because it really does give your skin the LOOK of a healthy glow. I wear it even if I’m not wearing makeup, on top of my sunscreen.

BECCA PEARL HIGHLIGHTER

Becca’s highlighting products are my favorite, ever. Yes, they’re very pricey, but they go on so smooth. The pressed highlighters are so fine and creamy. I love how there is no trace of glitter, yet you GLOW like no other when wearing any of Becca’s pressed highlighters. I love Pearl for layering with other highlighters, either underneath a golden highlighter, or on top to give the skin that extra radiance. It is not WHITE. I know it looks scary, but it’s not chalkboard white! Ha. I also use this one on the inner corners of my eyes to give them a more awake look.

COVER FX CUSTOM ENHANCER DROPS IN MOONLIGHT

I use this liquid highlighter if I want an EXTRA pop of glowy-ness on my cheekbones, but my favorite way to use this product is by mixing it with my foundation to give an all-over glowy look. How many times can I say GLOW?! Anyway, this is your go-to if you like a radiant finish to your foundation. A little goes a LONG way.

LAURA GELLER BAKED GELATO IN GILDED HONEY

This is THE highlighter for summer. Whatever your skin tone is, you can use it. I am naturally very fair (but I love me a good self tan) and a weary of gold makeup because it can look yellowish and off. Not this one. I love to use it alone and layered with the Becca Pearl highlighter. It’s creamy, not glittery. and the absolute PERFECT shade of gold!

STILA MAGNIFICENT METALS LIQUID EYE SHADOW IN DIAMOND DUST

First of all, I am so thrilled that Stila recently became a cruelty free makeup brand! I used to LOVE their products years ago, but I stopped using them when I learned that they tested on animals. About a month ago, they announced that they are now cruelty free and right when I read the news, I bought this magical product. It is pure glitter, yes, but it is FINE. Not chunky. I only use a tiny bit on the inner corners of my eyes to make them sparkle and pop.

TATCHA LUMINOUS DEWY SKIN MIST

If you’re feeling like your highlighter is not illuminating enough, or if your foundation is too flat…THIS IS FOR YOU. I am almost mad that I didn’t buy this sooner. Think of this product like the icing on the cake, that extra detail, the polish to your look. It amplifies your highlight and gives your skin the best dewy appearance I’ve ever seen. No cake face with this stuff. Not only that, it SETS your makeup and it does not move. I haven’t had to touch up my face at all since I started using the mist. Added bonus? It’s not something that you feel a second after spraying. It’s like air. No stickyness, nothing. If you have dry skin and get nothing else, please try this. Thank me later!

Hi! Happy Monday!

I’m so excited to share this post with you because I have been LOVING my new skincare routine. I have been using these products now for a couple of months, and my skin has never been better. It is SO important to take care of your skin.

Right now I am loving the minimal makeup look with very glowy skin. My skin is naturally incredibly dry. I suffer from psoriasis on my scalp, and that extends down to my face as well. If I do not exfoliate and moisturize, it is not pretty. For this reason (and others) I LOVE oils.

To remove my makeup, I use coconut oil. It’s amazing, ladies! Your makeup, eye makeup included will come off so much easier than with a makeup wipe. I apply the oil all over my face and eyes, and then use a warm & wet washcloth to rinse it all off. Afterward, I wash my face with an exfoliating cleanser or a regular face wash. I love this one and this one.

While we’re talking about night time, I’ll take you through the rest of my routine.

+ After I remove my makeup and wash my face, I apply the NuGene NuCell Universal Serum. OMG,  you guys…this stuff is incredible. Formulated with multiple human growth factors, polypeptides, vitamins, minerals and amino acids, NuGene’s signature serum encourages aging skin to behave more like younger skin, making an unmistakable improvement in the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, dark spots, rough texture and more. It encourages skin’s natural production of collagen and elastin while boosting other vital matrix protein syntheses, enabling it to repair and prevent environmental damage, improve texture and thickness, and restore skin’s natural luminosity. The result is a radiantly youthful complexion. Take a look at the before and after photos from people who use this product HERE.

+ After the Universal Serum has had some time to sink in, I apply Sanitas Vita C Serum. Sanitas Skincare Vita C Serum is formulated with 25% lipohilic vitamin C to help prevent and repair signs of aging without causing irritation. Squalane delivers hydration and assists in the transdermal absorption of the active ingredients, and essential fatty acids help to heal your skin while evening tone. It increases cell renewal and reduces the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and hyper-pigmentation. If you have oily skin, I do not recommend using this during the day, however those with dry skin – use it both day and night!

+ Eye cream comes next, and I love the Clinicians Complex Peptide Eye Cream. Peptide Eye Cream inhibits the development of new wrinkles while also offering anti-wrinkle properties to treat existing lines. This moisturizing eye cream contains hyaluronic acid and arnica to help further rejuvenate sun-damaged and aging skin. Hyaluronic acid anywhere on the skin = instant plump-ness and hydration. Buh-bye, crepe-y eyes!

+ Last step is a heavy moisturizer. If you have dry skin, you will LOVE Obagi’s Hydrate Luxe Cream. It is what it says – LUXURIOUS. It’s like giving your skin a huge drink of water. I love that it seals the deal on everything else I put on underneath.

When I wake up, my skin is SO hydrated, NOT greasy, and ready for makeup (or not). I apply chapstick to keep my lips hydrated whether or not I’m wearing makeup.

My morning routine is similar, but I do not use coconut oil or the Obagi Cream in the AM.

I do the same steps as above, minus the coconut oil and the Obagi Cream. Instead, I top it all off with the Elta MD sunscreen. Sunscreen is the best anti-aging product you can use during the daytime. It’s a MUST. I love this sunscreen because it’s not greasy and it’s not drying – it’s perfect to use for a bare face or with makeup on top.

Medical grade skincare is expensive – but SO, SO worth it. I’m so thrilled to be able to offer you all 15% off of most products on Premierlook.com, where I got all of these items except for the chapstick. Use code Lynn15 at checkout!
