Charleston, South Carolina had been at the top of my travel list within the states for a long time. Something about the gorgeous architecture, southern charm, PINK, and the beaches just spoke to me.
And it didn’t disappoint. I’ll be recapping our trip with all of the details such as where to eat, what to see, etc. soon.
But for now, let’s talk outfits. I started shopping for this trip about a month before we left and I wanted my Charleston wardrobe to reflect the atmosphere: feminine and light (because it was hot).
Never go away from your personal style or buy things that you would never wear otherwise…this is my biggest tip. You will not see me wearing seersucker or a shifty tunic, even in the south. Think your style with a twist. The first thing that I did before shopping was taking inventory of what I already own and could incorporate, and then I made a list of what I wanted to buy. With that, here were some of my favorite outfits worn in Charleston:
For this trip, I really wanted to stock up on a couple of light jumpsuits because they are so easy to wear and pack. No effort outfits are just the best, am I right? I fell in love with this jumpsuit from Vici and I bought it in two colors: toffee and in black. The material is super lightweight/chiffon-y and can be worn during the day or at night. I wore these jumpsuits during the day and out to dinner. So easy to wear and I felt so glam and very me.

I love a good set. They’re playful & perfect for vacation because they are effortless without looking effortless. Ya know? This set really spoke to me because it’s pink and it’s got a tweed vibe that is just so southern.
I am a T-Shirt person and would wear them everyday if I could. You know I am all about rocker tees, and Pink Floyd is one of my favorite classic rock bands ever. The shirt I’m wearing here is sold out, however this one is similar and I own it as well – so soft and buttery! This outfit was so comfy for walking around downtown Charleston. I am pretty proud of my Amazon shoe score. These look exactly like a pair of Versace shoes and they were only $32. And yes, they are super comfortable for walking around in all day!

EVERY tall gal needs one of these bathing suits. This baroque print swimsuit is so flattering and is cut for us tall girls. It does not cut you off – LOVE. It reminds me of Versace and I love it. Add in some oversized sunnies & a head scarf (so southern, right?) to complete the look and you’ll be ready to lounge on the beach.
