Now this is a makeup product that is TRULY AMAZING.
Enter: Charlotte Tilbury’s Flawless Filter.
Let me say that there is not one Charlotte Tilbury product that I haven’t liked. But this one deserves its own blog post.
Flawless Filter is a new product as of this year, and it does exactly what it says it does. It’s truly like a Snapchat filter in makeup form. Charlotte’s team deems it a “complexion booster”. There are so many different ways that you can use it, but the makeup artist at the Charlotte Tilbury counter told me that she likes to apply it underneath her makeup and that it acts as a primer this way. I tried applying it this way, and it was pure magic. I use a damp beauty blender and blend it in after I’ve applied my serums and sunscreen. Sometimes I just do this if I don’t want to wear a full face of makeup. I can’t go back to a regular primer and foundation now. Applying the Flawless Filter gives me that lit from within look when it’s topped with foundation.
Flawless Filter also looks great on the traditional highlight areas: the Cupid’s bow, beneath the brows, cheekbones, and down the nose. Sometimes I apply a little more on these areas after I apply foundation (and the Flawless Filter beneath foundation).
You’re probably wondering what the consistency is like. The bottle looks like a bottle of foundation. The applicator is a doe-foot applicator that allows for really easy distribution on the face. It is much lighter and sheerer than foundation, but it does have a little color to it (and comes in 7 different shades) in addition to a glow. No sparkle, but a definite radiance.
Extra: the bottle is gorgeous. Very Old Hollywood style and it is perfect for Instagram. 😉
