I love me a good girly clothing item…and the ultimate girly piece, in my opinion is anything with ruffles. Ruffles were seen all over Fall 2016 runways. See HERE and HERE.Yes, they’ve been around forever, but I love how designers are incorporating a fresh take with making asymmetrical items with ruffles, more structural pieces complemented with flowy ruffles, and moody/dark dresses with a pop of ruffles going across the shoulders.
Bold ruffles are definitely here to stay, which I am so excited about! My best tip is to wear ruffles exactly on the area that you wish to accentuate. You can wear them to frame your face with a ruffled turtleneck, at the hips to make them look more curvy, or around your shoulders and bust to make a big statement!
Since you really don’t need many accessories or extra areas of interest when wearing ruffles, I paired this Zara sweater with wide leg trousers and pointed toe black booties for a monochromatic, one-piece look.
Are you into ruffles?
xoxo, Lynn
