I’ve talked about perfume here before, but it is one of my favorite beauty products, so let’s dive in deeper, shall we?
That sounded so dramatic for a post about perfume.
But perfume can really MAKE your whole aura/look/vibe. Perfume is one of those beauty products that takes so little effort to put on, but it has a huge impact.Finding the right perfume can be so daunting…there are SO many out there and it’s exhausting for your nose to test many out in one store visit.
To help out, I’m covering what scents I like to wear for certain occasions and times of the year.
Favorite Sexy Scent
My absolute favorite sexy/date night perfume is Viktor and Rolf’s Flower Bomb. The notes include Sambac Jasmine, Centifolia Rose, Cattleya Orchid, Ballerina Freesia, and Patchouli. It is the perfect balance of floral and spicy. This would be a great wedding scent!
Favorite Bold Scent
Gucci Guilty is such an amazing bold scent without being overpowering. It’s modern and romantic, and really does invite people to check you out. I sound like a wine sommelier, don’t I? The notes in this fragrance are Geranium, Pink Pepper, Lilac, Peach, Amber, and Patchouli.
Favorite Everyday Scent
Bond No. 9 is my absolute favorite scent at the moment. It’s one of those scents that can really be worn for any occasion, which is why I like to wear it as an everyday scent. The notes are: oud extract, rose, tonka beans, and musk. This one is a MUST and I think it would smell amazing on most! This one is a family favorite, being my sister’s favorite perfume as well.
Favorite Summer Scent
I just can’t help it, I LOVE the original Juicy Couture perfume. Especially after a full day’s wear. It is so intoxicating (I mean it), and reminds me of summertime. The notes in this one are Watermelon, Mandarin, Pink Passion Fruit, Marigold, Green Apple, Water Hyacinth, Crushed Leaves, Tuberose Absolute, Wild Rose, Princess Lily, Tuberose, Caramel Creme Brulee, Vanilla, Precious Woods, and Patchouli.
My best perfume tips:
• I like to spray perfume in my hair, then brush it through. When you do this, the scent will bounce off of you as you walk.
• If I don’t want to purchase a whole bottle of perfume, I’ll buy a rollerball to test it out and then buy the large size if it becomes a favorite.
• Mix up your scents! This has been something I’ve been doing for a couple of years to make my own signature scent.
• Apply body moisturizer before spraying perfume on. This will extend the wear of your scent.
What are your favorite scents? I’m always looking for great new fragrances!
