I’ve written about glowy skincare essentials, but now let’s talk makeup! When I find the best of the best makeup products, I have to share. If you have dry skin (or even if you don’t) and want to look glowy without looking oily, THESE are your products.
BEST GLOWY MAKEUP PRODUCTS:
This primer is amazing for any skin type. It is hydrating, but it is in no way oily. I love that it gives my skin an extra boost of moisture right before I apply my makeup. I’m not usually a primer gal, but this stuff is just really, really good. And it’s not expensive at $14. The primer also allows your foundation to go on seamlessly. I have gotten so many compliments on my skin lately, and I attribute part of that to this stuff because it really does give your skin the LOOK of a healthy glow. I wear it even if I’m not wearing makeup, on top of my sunscreen.
Becca’s highlighting products are my favorite, ever. Yes, they’re very pricey, but they go on so smooth. The pressed highlighters are so fine and creamy. I love how there is no trace of glitter, yet you GLOW like no other when wearing any of Becca’s pressed highlighters. I love Pearl for layering with other highlighters, either underneath a golden highlighter, or on top to give the skin that extra radiance. It is not WHITE. I know it looks scary, but it’s not chalkboard white! Ha. I also use this one on the inner corners of my eyes to give them a more awake look.
COVER FX CUSTOM ENHANCER DROPS IN MOONLIGHT
I use this liquid highlighter if I want an EXTRA pop of glowy-ness on my cheekbones, but my favorite way to use this product is by mixing it with my foundation to give an all-over glowy look. How many times can I say GLOW?! Anyway, this is your go-to if you like a radiant finish to your foundation. A little goes a LONG way.
LAURA GELLER BAKED GELATO IN GILDED HONEY
This is THE highlighter for summer. Whatever your skin tone is, you can use it. I am naturally very fair (but I love me a good self tan) and a weary of gold makeup because it can look yellowish and off. Not this one. I love to use it alone and layered with the Becca Pearl highlighter. It’s creamy, not glittery. and the absolute PERFECT shade of gold!
STILA MAGNIFICENT METALS LIQUID EYE SHADOW IN DIAMOND DUST
First of all, I am so thrilled that Stila recently became a cruelty free makeup brand! I used to LOVE their products years ago, but I stopped using them when I learned that they tested on animals. About a month ago, they announced that they are now cruelty free and right when I read the news, I bought this magical product. It is pure glitter, yes, but it is FINE. Not chunky. I only use a tiny bit on the inner corners of my eyes to make them sparkle and pop.
TATCHA LUMINOUS DEWY SKIN MIST
If you’re feeling like your highlighter is not illuminating enough, or if your foundation is too flat…THIS IS FOR YOU. I am almost mad that I didn’t buy this sooner. Think of this product like the icing on the cake, that extra detail, the polish to your look. It amplifies your highlight and gives your skin the best dewy appearance I’ve ever seen. No cake face with this stuff. Not only that, it SETS your makeup and it does not move. I haven’t had to touch up my face at all since I started using the mist. Added bonus? It’s not something that you feel a second after spraying. It’s like air. No stickyness, nothing. If you have dry skin and get nothing else, please try this. Thank me later!
