We’ve all seen our fair share of green juices taking over Pinterest, health food stores, and juice bars. I myself am a Pressed Juicery addict. But the $7 price tag per juice is what drove me to purchase the Nutri Ninja Pro Auto IQ. I researched juicers, but came to the conclusion that many are messy and hard to clean, and there is no option to make a smoothie (obviously) using a juicer. I had a grand idea to try making my own juice using the Nutri Ninja – see how below. The minute I got home with the Ninja, I set up shop to make this delicious green juice – it was a success!
What you’ll need:
• A blender (or juicer)
• A fine mesh strainer (I got mine at Bed Bath and Beyond)
• 3 large pieces of raw kale (or 5 small pieces)
• 1 granny smith apple, seeded and chopped into 1-2 inch pieces
• 1 inch piece of ginger root
• 1/2 of a whole lemon
• 3-5 sprigs of mint leaves
• 1/2 cup cold water
My juicing trick: blend ingredients together, then pour the smoothie through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl or cup to make JUICE! I know, I know…it’s not that novel of an idea but it works, and it works very well.
I have been on a juice and smoothie kick since getting the Ninja, so if you are a juice/smoothie aficionado, please share your favorite recipes with me in the comments!
