Jewelry is THE BEST way to personalize your look, and I have learned that investing in accessories is so key to achieving my own look and style. I gravitate towards delicate pieces, but I always like to add in a bold piece, whether it’s HUGE hoops or a statement necklace. You can still layer and mix and match even while wearing a statement piece. Here are my tips on layering jewelry…

+ Mix and match lengths. I refer to the above necklace length guide all the time when I am shopping for necklaces. I like to have varying lengths and sizes in my collection. For a more BAM! Statement look, layer a few necklaces in the same length. My favorite way to layer is with delicate pieces in varying lengths. The best way to add length is with lariat necklaces – love them and they also add a sexy vibe to your look.

+ Mix metals. Mix rose gold, gold, silver, and even black/white pieces together. It adds a level of interest, and mixed metals are here to stay.

+ Add a bracelet or two or three with your watch. Even if you’re mixing and matching your necklaces, do the same with your wrist wear.

+ Add personalization. This is the best way to make your jewelry look YOURS. Add a initial pendant, heirloom, birthstone, or other personalized piece to your collection. My favorite is my Shane Co. bar necklace which has the coordinates of where I met Jeff engraved.

+ For your ears: If you have multiple piercings in your ears, play around with mixing and matching bold earrings with delicate ones. I have two piercings per ear and have been wearing teeny tiny diamond studs with my huge gold hoops.
