Confession: I have a problem with ‘boring’ clothes. I rarely buy staples because they’re…well…boring. But I am embracing the fact that staples don’t have to be boring. And they go with just about everything; the not so boring items. To up my game on this otherwise ‘boring’ outfit, I did three things to up its game: I added the biggest effing necklace in my closet, wore my favorite red pumps matched with a bold red lip, and my favorite trick: I tucked the shirt in at an unexpected spot – on the side to give it an asymmetrical look. I dare you to try it when you’re feeling like your outfit is ‘blah’ – it makes a huge difference!
I love basics, and am wearing mine on my blog today 🙂 I definitely think that basics can be boring, but they are also helpful in looking polished when you’re on a budget. This outfit is perfectly Classic! I love every piece.
