If you watched my stories a week ago, you might kn If you watched my stories a week ago, you might know that my angel baby Daisy passed away last Wednesday. Daisy was and is the most special thing to me. I read somewhere that when a pet is ready to ‘go’, it’s because their mission in life has been completed – to teach us what we needed to learn. I believe that Daisy taught me so much about compassion. Caring for her and her health challenges throughout her life is something that I am grateful for. Also, stuff… it doesn’t matter. At all. Love is what matters. Her and I shared a unique bond that I will forever cherish. Thinking about the rainbow bridge is the saddest fucking thing though and I absolutely hate reading others’ similar stories...but if you want to read about Daisy’s life and my story with caring for her, it is on my blog. 💗 Swipe to see her photos through the years. The first one is a pic of us one day after I adopted her as a rescue from an abandoned barn at 12 weeks old. I wish I took more videos of her when she was healthy, but you’ll see a couple of her snuggling me like she always did every night and every morning, and a memory so I never forget how gorgeous her profile + face was. 😻

I don’t want to be like everyone else, flying to Instagram (because what you post on Instagram doesn’t necessarily mean you are DOING something) to defend myself and my beliefs but I do feel that as someone who shares my opinions publicly, I want to speak up about the state of the US right now. I have been at a loss about what to say and fearful about saying the wrong thing. I always try to find the good and positive out of everything in life and I admit that I am just starting to really research and learn (and DO) - and when I usually research and learn, I’m pretty silent in general. But I don’t want to be silent. I care for and love people of all races and colors. I hear you, I support you, and I stand with you. What I do know is that love is the answer and that we need to stop playing into dividing people. Me after 19 days of not posting here and not letti Me after 19 days of not posting here and not letting bother me that I haven’t (a first!) 🤪 I’ve had a rough couple of weeks with discovering my baby (cat) Daisy is sick and I took some time to process that and reset. Daisy is feeling better and we are just enjoying being with her and slowing down. Feeling calm for the first time in awhile and just want to encourage you to be compassionate and patient with yourself when you’re having a shitty day/week/month.

You guys, @rmsbeauty living luminizer is a solid-cream based product that is really the ultimate illuminator for creating a sheer and natural looking glow. We’re talking zero sparkle, cakeyness 🍰 or powdery. I have been using this ‘highlighter’ everyday since it arrived a few weeks ago since ordering it via the Sephora sale + I apply it to my cheekbones, on my eyelids, the inner corners of my eyes, and above my upper lip. It’s sheer and has a bit of a pearl finish that is just so pretty. Like your sweat but better 💦 😂 It’s so good that I had to share w/ you here. Any new beauty faves of yours?

Turkey neck, sagging skin, neck wrinkles...no, tha Turkey neck, sagging skin, neck wrinkles...no, thank you. 🙅🏼‍♀️ Unfortunately I was one who worshipped the sun until I was in my early 20’s and now I am ALL about prevention and care for my skin. And that includes the neck! Have you ever seen people whose skin is beautiful on their face and then you look down and their neck/chest don’t match? 🤔 Ok, so here is my routine for keeping things tight and bright around my neck and chest 🥥 🥥 . 🍊 VITAMIN C: it doubles SPF’s protective rating and promotes skin renewal. I use @sanitas_skincare VitaC Serum all over my neck, chest & face. . . 🐠 OMEGAS: Omega-3 and 6 fatty acids are essential in the body’s production of collagen. I make sure I eat omega-rich foods often, like salmon, flax seeds, and avocados. . 🧴SPF: before I leave the house, I always have SOF slathered ALL over. My favorite is @eltamdskincare - bring it down to your NIPPLES. . . 🧴RETINOL: Every other night, I use Retin-A on my face, neck, and chest to help boost collagen, unclog pores, reduce fine lines, up cell turnover, and reduce uneven pigmentation. . . 🛏 Sleep on my back: ok, this one is HARD. I am a side-sleeper by definition and I’ve got the lines to prove it. BUT over the last 2 years, I’ve made a big effort to sleep on my back. No one wants face & chest lines, Amiright?
