Pastels were a staple on the fall and winter 2016/2017 runways – from Prada to Gucci to Jil Sanders. Sugary shades of bubblegum have been trending big time, and the hue even graced over five September issues to bring us into the season. I couldn’t be more thrilled. Pink has always been my favorite color. At heart, I am the quintessential girly girl. Insert bow emojis here!
My tips for making pink/blush work without looking like a Disney Princess:
Wear a tailored pink coat
I love this coat that I scored on ebay – it is vintage and and structured and slightly oversized which is perfect for a more grown up look.
Go Oversized
Tight and pink just screams barbie, right? To avoid a childlike look, go for an oversized piece like a big knit pink sweater paired with skinny jeans and rocker booties to offset the girly-ness.
Go for pink accessories
Not sure about rocking a pink article of clothing? Go for a pair of blush pumps or a pink handbag to accent any look.
What’s your take on pink for Winter? Yes? No?
xoxo, Lynn
