There’s a major ’90’s trend resurgence going on from brown lipstick, metallic lipstick, teeny tiny floral prints, platforms, and chokers. Please, please do not wear these all at once unless you want to look like Jennifer Love Hewitt circa 1997.

Side note: Am I the only one who, when thinking of certain celebrities still thinks of them as they were 20 years ago? And now I feel really old.

Anyway, gone are the days of the ying yang and plastic-y stretchy chokers. It still took me a good 6 months to get used to the idea of wearing one, which is usually how I am with most ’90’s trends. I still haven’t gotten back into platforms.

My top tips for wearing chokers:

1. Try layering two chokers together of varying styles. I love the faux suede bow choker paired with this crystal choker – it adds a great dose of glam!

2. If you’re not too sure about the trend but want to give it a try, start with a very delicate chain choker. I love HRH Collection‘s dainty chokers!

3. Add a girly choker with a bow to add femininity to a rocker-chic outfit, or add a faux leather choker to a girly outfit to rough it up a bit.

How do you feel about chokers? Yes or no?
