Happy New Year, my loves! I am so excited for a clean slate and new beginnings. There are some exciting things going on around here, including a complete blog revamp, which I can’t wait to reveal soon. I’ve got some amazing content and exciting posts planned for the year as well. If there is anything specific that you want to see here, please let me know! I love connecting with you.
Let’s kick off the new year with some resolutions, shall we?
While everyone is recapping their big lists of New Year’s resolutions, I thought I would share my fashion resolutions, because hey, I think that we can all benefit from these…especially to break out of a rut.
1. Wear colors that I wouldn’t normally wear.
I’m not afraid of color, but I like to stick to a pretty monochromatic look most of the time. As a result, sometimes I am really bored with my wardrobe. Scared of color? Try adding pops of color in in small places, like your shoes or a phone case.
2. Be more adventurous with trends.
I’m not usually one for trying every trend that comes out, but I want to be more adventurous. Trying to keep an open mind is important, and you never know what will work unless you try it. In these cases, my recommendation is to shop for trendy items at fast fashion places like Forever 21 and H&M.
3. On the flip side, invest in quality items.
This year, I want to be better about saving my money on high quality pieces that will last me several years. A great way to start is by investing in classic jewelry that will instantly update your look and will last you years. From there, pay attention to what works for your body type (take cues from #2) and invest in flattering silhouettes for your shape in non-trendy prints.
Do you have any fashion resolutions?
xoxo, Lynn
