Vegan Bulletproof Coffee

Bulletproof coffee is EVERYWHERE! Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably seen magazines talking about it and bloggers showing their blended Bulletproof concoctions on Snapchat. And now there is even a Bulletproof Coffee shop in Santa Monica.

I had no idea what the hell Bulletproof Coffee was. I thought it was a fancy ground coffee brand sold at Whole Foods. After I had seen it on Instagram and Snapchat for the 128495486869 time, I looked it up to see what this business was all about.

What I found was that Dave Asprey invented a certain concoction of coffee, butter from grassfed cows, and MCT (or coconut oil) and it is now branded as Bulletproof. The idea is that not only does the coffee give you energy from the caffeine, but it also provides a surge of brain power (from the MCT/coconut oil), and keeps you satisfied (from the butter). As a side note, I have experienced a huge amount of success on a high fat/low carb lifestyle, so this idea was right up my alley!

I had already been preparing my coffee very closely to the Bulletproof method – minus the oil. After doing some additional research, I found that MCT and coconut oils are both hugely beneficial for brain energy and mental clarity. While Bulletproof uses MCT oil AKA “Brain Octane”, I am happy using coconut oil.

Onto my recipe for a VEGAN cup of ‘Bulletproof’ coffee:

– One cup of coffee brewed however you like (I use a Tassimo machine with espresso T-discs)

– 2 tablespoons coconut cream (to replace butter if you’re vegan or lactose intolerant)

– 1 tablespoon unrefined, organic coconut oil

Directions:

You can blend everything together in any blender. My method is to put the coconut oil and coconut cream in my coffee cup, and then brew the coffee over the cream and oil. It ends up blending together perfectly this way. And takes literally one minute from start to finish.

The verdict: This coffee is amazing. I had been a black coffee drinker for YEARS until recently, and I don’t intend to go back. Not only does it taste delicious, but it is very filling and I have noticed a spike in my energy level throughout the day.

On that note, happy Friday! Talk soon, Lynn

a few ways that getting dressed/fashion is spiritu a few ways that getting dressed/fashion is spiritual:

1. experimenting with what you wear can help you see yourself in a different way & provokes inspiration.
2. Getting dressed in the morning is a way to have fun by expressing your beautiful soul for everyone to see.
3. when you feel confident in what you’re wearing, you FEEL good.

my style evolution: I used to wear a lot of black & shunned expressing my femininity with the clothes that I wore because I was following trends. NO MORE. now: give me all the feminine LEWKS and colors 🌈

on motherhood & embracing femininity 💖 During on motherhood & embracing femininity 💖

During the first few months of my Z’s life, my body & soul felt burnt out. looking back, it was hard (and still is!) to prioritize just taking a few deep breaths each day. totally not trying to sound dramatic like so many Oprah IG captions 🤣 but it’s the truth.

during a meditation session recently, my intuition called out and invited me to reconnect with my feminine side. I realized I had abandoned much of this ‘side’. this is where the journey of activating my divine feminine energy began for me. I’ll be sharing bits of my re-discovery here in hopes it will help you overcome the same and step in to your wholeness. 🤍

by wholeness, I mean not DOING IT ALL. being intentional & redefining the feminine experience.

some of the words I have reclaimed include…

emotional, ease, wild, & healing

do you have words to describe your feminine energy?
