Getting a blowout is the most magical experience for any lazy girl. Trust me when I say that I am probably lazier than all of you reading when it comes to my hair. It’s both a blessing and a curse that I have extremely dry hair (and scalp), so my hair doesn’t tend to start getting greasy until week #2 of no washing. Yep, I just admitted that. Since I am a bonafide expert on making your blowout last and last and last…and last, I’m here to share how I keep my hair looking fresh.
The products:
Step 1: Reinvigorate your hair and soak up grease with dry shampoo. Even if you don’t have greasy hair like me, dry shampoo will help lift your roots and give your hair a weightless look and feel.
Step 2: Put rollers in at your roots. For larger rollers (there are two sizes that come in this package), I use a 1 1/2 inch section of hair, and wrap around the roller facing my head. For the smaller rollers, use a 1 inch section of hair. I like to use the smaller rollers around my face for added body. Leave the rollers in for as long as you desire. If you have a couple of hours to get ready (well aren’t you lucky!), leave them in while you do your makeup etc. Even if you have two minutes, it will make a huge difference!
Step 3: After removing the rollers, spray dry conditioner on the mid-shaft to ends of your hair. I had never heard of a dry conditioner before trying Drybar’s, and I was seriously missing out. It is INCREDIBLE for us dry haired ladies. It gives a little sheen to the hair and it really makes your hair feel moisturized. Top it off with a few spritzes of Triple Sec for texture, and you’re good to go!
This whole process seriously only takes about 2 minutes.
Oh, also…Drybar products smell AH-MAZ-ING. Like you’re wearing some exotic fragrance. I had two people ask me what I was wearing literally 20 minutes after I stepped out of my house and told them it was Drybar products! To top off how great this stuff is, they never test on animals. This is something that I am very passionate about and never knowingly purchase products tested on animals.
Do you have any blowout/hair secrets to share with me? I always want to learn new tips and tricks!
xoxo, Lynn
